What Is Somatic Theology?

At Somatic Theology, we believe that caring for the nervous system can create greater capacity for peace, prayer, and presence. Our approach combines evidence-based somatic practices with the Christian contemplative tradition to help individuals release accumulated stress, restore nervous system balance, and encounter God through stillness, breath, and gentle movement. Rather than striving harder, we invite you to rediscover the rest your body was designed to experience.

Dr. Jeremy was really patient and calm as he explained the concepts of TRE and led us through the exercises. It felt odd at first, wondering about what you were supposed to be feeling and if things were going to happen as the should. In the end I realised that whatever I felt was OK, and whatever happened was supposed to.
